Hip Bag

I had a request for a bag that a boy could wear to store all his treasures – such as a camera, toys and money. I wanted an alternative to my Mini Messenger Bag – since these are more suitable for girls.

During the 80s my friends and I all had Bum Bags and they were great! I thought it would be a fab idea to add them to Dotty Owl since they are so useful – I have given them a modern twist with fun fabric. I can also embroider a name on the front for no extra cost. They feature a main zippered opening as well as an additional shallow coin pocket at the front.

These Hip Bags are made to order – so please provide a name (if wanted) and also a waist measurement. The one shown here adjusts from roughly 20 inches to 23 inches and is suitable for most 3-7 year olds. The clip is chunky – so younger children will need an adult to help pop them on and off.
